SIR, Comments in Lloyd’s List (European sulphur cuts could cost oil majors $13bn, Lloyd’s List, June 9) again cast doubt over the economics of switching exclusively to low-sulphur bunker fuels without a sub- stantial offset for many vessels in the shape of exhaust gas cleaning systems.
