Emissions Monitoring

About the Installation

The typical CEMs installation includes gas monitoring (monitoring in stack), data processing, a data interrogation & display screen, a secure data recorder and a link with the ship’s Global Positioning System, (GPS).

The secure data recorder enables traceability of emissions dating back for at least eighteen months and can be used to demonstrate compliance for Port State Control and Classification Society survey for the purposes of renewal of the ship’s IAPP certification.

Data records includes the gas concentrations of CO2, NO, NO2, and SO2 in either parts per million (ppm), or percentage (%) by volume. The GPS provides a record of the ship’s position, heading, and speed, whilst all data is date and time stamped for a comprehensive record of ship’s position, time and emissions
